From the Torah (the 5 books of Moses), in the Hebrew Bible, it says "put fringes on your garments to remind you of the commandments." These fringes were of blue color. When the dye became very expensive and only the rich were able to attain it, the Rabbis made a rule in which white would be added, to accommodate ALL the classes. This color tradition has continued since Biblical times.

Let our Star of David bracelet be the fringe for your garment.

The Star of David or (shield of David) has become a symbol representing strength, as David and his army exhibited in the writings of The Old Testament. Curiously the Nazi's used the 6 point star as a badge of shame. As it accompanied millions on their way to death, it took on a new dimension of depth, uniting suffering with strength and hope. Today it is widely used in Jewish life.

The Star of David charm may be exchanged for the Ten Commandment Tablets or Menorah charm. Or, you may add these charms to your bracelet ($5.00 per charm). If you would like light blue Cat Eye beads, they may be substituted for the dark blue Cat Eye beads pictured.

Sizing Info

Bracelets (finished length including clasp) are available in 1/4" increments. Sizes 7 - 7 1/2" are the most common, but the best way to determine your size is to measure your wrist with a cloth tape measure. Generally, customers add about 3/4" to 1 1/4" to their wrist size depending on how they like their jewelry to fit.

Bracelet prices reflect a size 7" and shorter. There is a $.50 charge over 7'' up to each additional 1/2" increment . For example a 7 3/4" bracelet would be a $1.00 extra.
